Hey Flo I was walking around the school and the 4th graders (your students last year in 3rd grade) were saying Ms. Luong? You can tell that they love you and miss you.

Coincidentally (or maybe not so) the Career Fellowship just taught this passage last Saturday. On my way home, a Korean couple were asking some people for directions. My train had just come and I was about to get on when they asked me. I honestly didn’t want to take the time to explain the how and where, but it ended up happening. The 3 of us waited for the next R and we even sat together. I was reminded that this is what a Good Samaritan does—s/he may not love the interruptions, but s/he will be open to loving those people in kindness. Also, because they were non-native English speakers, it was very heartwarming to talk to them. Having been a foreigner, I understand their wanting to get the right directions and actually doing the things they set out to do in an unfamiliar place. They reminded me a bit of Asia/China and this is going to be my umpteenth time saying this, but I miss that place and its people.
I’m super grateful that Suze is teaching my 3rd now 4th! graders. Those little rascals…

Haha I just went off tangent. But they’re so darn cute.
Edit:
This is my 100th post!
A brief clip of my 10 months in China with teaching, students, friends, teammates, and living in Taiyuan.
